Our Work

We support over 4,000 people each year, delivering targeted programmes that improve confidence, wellbeing, and opportunities—particularly for those facing disadvantage.

From youth work and childcare to health, food support, and community initiatives, our work helps people feel safe, connected, and able to move forward

Creating Opportunities. Supporting Communities. Changing Lives.

We support over 4,000 people each year, delivering targeted programmes that improve confidence, wellbeing, and progression into education and employment—particularly for those facing disadvantage.

At West Faversham Community Association (WFCA), our work is rooted in the needs of our local community. We provide safe, inclusive spaces where people can access support, build skills, and feel part of something positive.

Our Approach

Our work is designed as a progression pathway—supporting individuals from first engagement, through confidence-building and skills development, into education, employment, and independent living.

We combine open-access community provision with targeted support, ensuring we reach those who need us most.

What We Do

We deliver a range of connected programmes that:

  • Support children and young people to feel safe, confident, and supported

  • Improve health, wellbeing, and reduce social isolation

  • Help individuals develop skills and move towards education and employment

  • Provide practical support during times of crisis, including financial hardship and mental health challenge

Our Impact

  • 4,000+ people supported each year

  • 350+ young people engaged in structured provision each week

  • 97% of young people say we are a safe place with a trusted adult

  • 83% report increased confidence

Who We Support

We are open to all, but prioritise support for:

  • Children and families on low incomes

  • Young people at risk of disengagement or involvement in crime

  • Neurodiverse young people and those with additional needs

  • Care-experienced and vulnerable young people

  • Individuals experiencing poor mental or physical health

  • Older adults facing social isolation

  • The LGBTQIA+ community

A Trusted Community Hub

Our centre is a place where people know they can:

  • Access support from trusted adults

  • Build positive relationships

  • Take part in meaningful activities

  • Turn to us for help during difficult times
